I went on to earn a place at Oxford University where I read BA Honours in English Language and Literature. Some of the distinctions I was awarded for my academic performances include the Gavin Ewart Poetry Prize, the Verrall English Prize, the Music Essay Prize, and the Lady Emma Talbot Special Prize. Having won a bursary to attend Wellington College in 2011, I studied the IB, and was one of the very few students in the world to achieve a maximum of 45 points. Throughout the years, I have worked with students on a wide range of curriculums to hone their skills and expand not only their knowledge, but also their interest and love for the subject. My experience as a tutor extends across different levels and subjects, from teaching English as a foreign language to 11+ exams, and university entrance preparation. I graduated last year with a 1st in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford. We offer tuition in ABRSM Music Theory, grades 1-8 and the Trinity School of Music Theory exams, grades 1-8. Our tutors are all excellent sources of inspiration for anyone who is considering taking their knowledge of music theory to the next level or just starting out. Often music theory lessons can provide a student with the first signs that, if they wish to, their love for music may be turned towards a degree or even a career. Teaching children to understand the theoretical foundations of the music they play helps them bridge the gap between extra-curricular interests and academic work. We have specialist music tutors who studied composition at first rate conservatoires, Oxford, Cambridge, Trinity College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. For these creative minds Wentworth Education is proud to offer some of the finest guidance available. Naturally, many such students become curious about the process of composition and often attempt to write music of their own. As they progress through the grades and begin to perform in orchestras and other ensembles they will gradually encounter much of the canonical works of classical music. Learning how to play an instrument is one of the most common extra-curricular pastimes and a source of joy for many children. Application fees will range from $0-$200 depending on your state. Many of the students that we teach at Wentworth Education are also highly talented young musicians. You may also need to take tests on your proficiency in basic subjects, teaching pedagogy, and music content.government agency that collects and reports labor-related information Go to source X Trustworthy Source US Bureau of Labor Statistics U.S. To be eligible for certification, you’ll need at least a bachelor’s degree and sufficient student teaching or observation hours (which vary by state).Look for the requirements to get a single-subject certification in music (offered in 39 states). government agency that collects and reports labor-related information Go to source To figure out which credential you need, search for your state’s teaching credential commission website.
